It has been reported that the 2022-2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5, 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6, and 2022-2023 Kia EV6 have a charging port defect which prevents the vehicle from charging at the represented Level 2 charging speed. Instead, the charging port overheats, leading to the cessation of the charging process. Hyundai issued a Technical Service Bulletin attempting to remedy this issue, and while the charging port does not overheat, the new charging time is more than double the Level 2 advertised time.
