The BC Paraplegic Association (BCPA) helps people with spinal cord injury and their families adjust, adapt, and thrive in their new lives. They provide answers, information, and unique experiences to those within the community.
One of the programs run by the BCPA is the Peer Program. The program provides social connections, educational opportunities, and unique life experiences to individuals with a spinal cord injury.
This Saturday, February 19th, the Peer Program is hosting an afternoon tea showcasing accomplished women within the spinal cord injury community. Called In the Spotlight, participants of the event can enjoy a talent showcase, bid on silent auction prizes, and participate in a 50/50 reverse draw.
Participation is extended to all women with disabilities, their friends and family.
Slater Vecchio is a proud supporter of the BCPA. A team of employees will be volunteering at In the Spotlight where we hope to contribute to the event’s success. Even more than that, we expect our volunteers will be inspired and touched by the experiences and accomplishments of the women involved.
Last Fall, Slater Vecchio employees supported the BCPA’s Ugly Tie campaign by purchasing buttons and donning their ugliest ties in the office. The Firm also sponsored The Ugly Tie Affair fundraising event at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver.
