Brainstreams.ca: Helping Real People with Real Lives

The Pacific Coast Brain Injury Conference Society has launched Brainstreams.ca, a leading Canadian information and educational online resource. Brainstreams helps meet the educational and social networking needs of the brain injury community throughout British Columbia and beyond. The site also seeks to increase awareness and prevention of brain injury.

The ultimate goal of Brainstreams is simple: to help make our province the most informed place in the world about the brain and brain injury.

Brainstreams reports that an estimated 10,000 persons are living with an acquired brain injury in BC. But the brain injury community is made up of many types of people: those living with brain injury, their family and friends, professionals and service providers, and more.

The Pacific Coast Brain Injury Conference is an opportunity for these important groups within the brain injury community to get together. The theme for 2012’s event: Real People with Real Lives: It Takes a Village.

The 2012 conference will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre in Vancouver, from February 15-17. Satellite conferences will be held in Victoria and Kamloops on the same dates.

Slater Vecchio is a proud sponsor of the Pacific Coast Brain Injury Conference Society.
