Congratulations to Slater Vecchio’s First UBC Trial Advocacy Entrance Award Recipient!

Slater Vecchio and UBC Law are pleased to announce that Shashika Stanislaus is the first recipient of the Slater Vecchio LLP Trial Advocacy Entrance Award.

The $15,000 Slater Vecchio award is given to a first-year JD law student entering the fall semester. It’s the first of its kind offered by a personal injury firm. “Our goal is to support students at UBC Law as well as reward and encourage interest in the study of trial advocacy,” says founding partner Michael Slater, Q.C. “The creation of this full-tuition first-year award helps to support these goals.”

The award was presented on the recommendation of the UBC Faculty of Law. Shashika has demonstrated his interest in advocacy through involvement in the UBC student government and the community.

Congratulations Shashika and best of luck in your studies!
