Slater Vecchio is pleased to announce that one of our founding partners Michael Slater, Q.C., has been awarded the 2013 Bar Award by the Trial Lawyers Association of B.C.
Mike has been a practicing lawyer since 1976 in the area of personal injury. He specializes in traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury cases and has been awarded some of the highest trial awards in these cases. He was also named the 2012 Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers.
The TLABC works to maintain judicial integrity and independence through the protection of individual rights, preservation of the jury system, enhancing trial practice, and ensuring access to justice.The Bar award honours members of the profession who have demonstrated the ability and drive to go beyond the call of duty, whether for the benefit of their clients, the legal profession or to further the cause of justice and the people of the province. Recipients have given generously of their time in pursuit of improving the process of justice, protecting the rights of citizens or helping advance the interests of the profession as a whole.
