On July 18, 2024, Health Canada recalled BISSELL® Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaners sold in Canada after reports that consumers using these products experienced burn injuries.
Details of the Recall
Health Canada has advised consumers to immediately stop using the recalled BISSELL® Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaners due to the risk of steam or hot water ejecting from the steamer while heating or during use. As of June 4, 2024, there have been 14 reports of incidents involving the recalled BISSELL® steamers in Canada, with 12 of those incidents resulting in reports of injuries.
