ALS Canada is the leading not-for-profit organization working nationwide to fund ALS research. The organization works to improve the quality of life for Canadians affected by ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

BC Cancer Foundation’s Ride to Conquer Cancer is an adventurous ride through the Pacific Northwest, a journey of over 200 miles from Vancouver to Seattle. Donations support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the B.C. Cancer Foundation.

The BC Children’s Hospital Foundation works with children, families, caregivers and thousands of British Columbians each year to raise funds that support child health.
In 2011, we helped junior philanthropist Sean Thomas with Kids Can Help. Inspired by the courage of children with cancer, Sean began collecting pennies to donate to BC Children’s Hospital’s oncology department. Sean has actively promoted his program via local radio, TV, and the Miracle Weekend Telethon. Slater Vecchio raised over $5,500 for Sean’s program.
Slater Vecchio also supports the BC Children’s Hospital’s Jeans Day each April.

Every April, the Slater Vecchio Partners purchase daffodils for each staff member in support of Daffodil month, a national fundraising campaign of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice stands as a sanctuary of comfort and compassion, dedicated to providing palliative care to children with life-threatening illnesses. The mission of Canuck Place is to offer a nurturing and supportive environment where children and their families can receive comprehensive care during their most challenging times. This includes medical, psychological, and spiritual support, all tailored to the unique needs of each child and family.
By embracing a holistic approach, Canuck Place ensures that children live their lives fully and joyfully, despite their illnesses, while offering the necessary respite and ongoing support to their families. The hospice is also committed to fostering a community of empathy and support, underpinned by the belief that no family should navigate their child’s life-limiting condition alone.
The Boys Club Network Foundation provides mentorship and support to boys and young men, offering education, positive role models, and community involvement. Their mission focuses on empowering these individuals to overcome challenges, pursue dreams, and positively impact society. This effort not only transforms lives but also strengthens communities.
Athletics for Kids (A4K) in British Columbia provides financial aid to ensure children from low-income families can participate in sports. By covering costs like registration fees, A4K promotes inclusivity, allowing kids to develop life skills and healthy habits through sports. Their efforts aim to build a healthier, inclusive community where every child can thrive.
Spinn for Finn’s mission is to raise awareness and funds for pediatric research and healthcare services by organizing community-based cycling events. These events not only honour Finn’s memory but also support other children facing similar health challenges. Spinn for Finn is driven by the belief that every child deserves the chance to live a full and healthy life. By engaging cyclists and communities in these spirited events, the charity aims to foster a supportive network, encouraging participation and philanthropy that makes a tangible difference in the lives of sick children and their families.

The league’s mission is to foster a love for the game while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience among its participants.
The BCSPCA (British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is dedicated to improving the lives of domestic, farm, and wild animals across British Columbia. Their mission encompasses rescue and protection, veterinary care, and education on animal welfare. The BCSPCA works to prevent cruelty and promote kinder, more humane treatment of all animals. Through advocacy and direct care, they strive to create a society where all animals are respected and free from suffering.

Spinal Cord Injury BC helps people with spinal cord injuries adjust, adapt, and thrive by providing answers, information, and community experiences.
Since 2011, Slater Vecchio has participated in a variety of fundraising events benefitting the Spinal Cord Injury Association. These events include the Women’s Tea and Ugly Tie Week.
UGM is an urban relief organization based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. With seven locations throughout Metro Vancouver and the city of Mission, UGM is positioned to help those who need it most.
Every month, Slater Vecchio volunteers work with incredible UGM chefs to assist with meal preparation, dining-room setup, and meal service.
Did you know that the Vancouver Sun Run is Canada’s largest 10K road race? Every year, Slater Vecchio employees join in the fun. Since its inception, the Sun Run has donated over $2 million to charity.
Slater Vecchio supports legal education in BC. The Justice Education Society creates programs and offers a wealth of resources to help improve legal education and access to justice across British Columbia. The society serves a diverse range of people through a variety of programs, providing information and services to boost the public’s understanding of our justice system and how the law works.
The Powell River Brain Injury Society is dedicated to promoting prevention, recovery, education, community awareness and life beyond brain injury. It’s the only non-profit agency solely dedicated to providing support to Powell River. Donations to Society help provide a broad range of social and support services for persons living with an acquired brain injury.

The Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association is a charitable organization that has been offering support services to people with acquired brain injuries and their families since 1997. One of their main goals is to promote the prevention of brain injury by focusing their efforts toward public awareness of the specific needs of people with acquired brain injuries and their families. Donations to this Association provide support to several hundred people in the Fraser Valley with acquired brain injuries and their families each year.
Slater Vecchio both sponsors and participates in the Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association golf tournament each year with proceeds going to programs that help support the FVBIA.
The Ride2Survive is a one-day epic cycling event from Kelowna to Vancouver to raise money and awareness for cancer research. In June each year participants ride 400km and climb 12,000 feet to help rid raise cancer awareness. Donations to this event are put toward researching cancer care methods, treatment and prevention.
Slater Vecchio has proudly supported the Ride2Survive since 2007.
The Covenant House provides love and hope to Vancouver’s homeless and at-risk street youth. They help young people aged 16 to 24 who have fled physical, emotional and sexual abuse; those who have been forced from their homes; and those who have aged out of foster care.
