Charlotte K.B. Harman specializes in complex class action litigation on a wide range of critical public issues. She represents clients across Canada as both plaintiffs and defendants in areas such as environmental, regulatory, human rights, and constitutional law, as well as in consumer protection, product liability, indigenous, labour and employment, and corporate-commercial matters.
Charlotte earned a dual degree in civil and common law from McGill University Faculty of Law in 2016. She also carries a BA in Global Development from Queen’s University. In 2021 she earned a graduate degree in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability from the University of Toronto, winning the President’s Award for the top graduate capstone project.
After five years at one of the country’s leading full-service firms, where she practiced primarily in class action defence, Charlotte transitioned into prosecuting class action cases full-time. She has since served as counsel at several of the leading class-action boutiques in Toronto and Vancouver before joining Slatter Vecchio.
Charlotte is deeply committed to environmental sustainability and social impact. She has extensive experience as a Board member and volunteer, having conducted research on civil rights, feminist legal theory, diversity and inclusion, and access to justice for organizations such as Avocats sans Frontiers, LEAF (Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund) and Pro Bono Ontario.
When not in the office, Charlotte pursues a life of adventure. She spends her time touring the backcountry of Canada and remote regions of the world. Her many passions include hiking, surfing, yoga, food and cultural exploration.
