Hailey Berge

Hailey Berge joined Slater Vecchio in 2026, having previously practiced at a national litigation firm. In that role, she worked on a broad range of litigation matters, representing clients before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia.

Hailey is committed to client-focused advocacy and practicing law through a trauma informed lens. She understands the profound impact that effective, committed advocacy can have on a person’s life. These principles have helped to form her philosophy as a lawyer and will continue to guide her as she practices as part of Slater Vecchio’s sexual abuse and class action teams.

After growing up in the Fraser Valley, Hailey moved to Ottawa where she obtained her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa. During her time in law school, Hailey volunteered as a caseworker with the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, and the Ticket Defence Program, and completed a fellowship with Prisoner’s Legal Services. Her love for litigation only grew after competing in both the Walker Health Law Moot and the Gale Cup.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, with a minor in French, from the University of the Fraser Valley. Over the course of her degree, she completed a practicum and then continued to work as a crisis interventionist with the Ann Davis Transition Society.

Outside of the office, Hailey can be found enjoying the outdoors however she can, whether that be backpacking or skiing in the mountains, training for a marathon, or getting out on the pitch with her rec soccer team. She is also an avid reader and is always adding new titles to her never-ending TBR.
