An ex-Vancouver teacher, Brian Melicke Moore, was recently found guilty of sexually abusing his elementary school students during school trips to the Okanagan in the late 1970s and early 1980s. During Mr. Moore’s trial in North Vancouver Provincial Court twelve survivors, most of whom were children at the time of the abuse, came forward to share their stories. Mr. Moore’s conviction is a reminder that justice is possible for survivors, even decades later.
